Holystone Hinnies 2024
Welcome to our 2024 page.
Subs are next due by 1st April 2024 and are £48 which entitles you to 11 meetings and 8 magazines per year, plus access to additional pay as you go events.
New members joining later in the year pay a pro-rata reduced rate every 3 months.
Approximately 50% of the subs is kept by our WI to fund hall hire, speakers, crafts, etc, while approx 25% goes to each of Northumberland Federation and National WI. See below for more details.
Programme 2024
We usually meet in Holystone Primary School Hall on the first Thursday on the month 7-9pm.
Occasionally the dates change around school holidays, so please check actual dates below.
Meeting dates for the year are as follows:
Thurs 11th Jan - Charity talk and bring and buy a bag fundraiser
(charity speaker cancelled, Pat did the life of a health visitor talk)
Thurs 1st Feb - Local crimes talk by Michael Gatherar
Thurs 7th March - Spring planting with Cowells garden centre
Thurs 18th April *moved due to Easter hols* - AGM and wine tasting
Thurs 2nd May - Photography on your smart phone
Thurs 6th June *moved due to half term* - Line dancing
Thurs 4th July - American Independence Day party
Thurs 1st Aug - Summer social at the pub
Thurs 5th sept *moved to allow for new school year - Life of a vicar with Pat
Thurs 3rd Oct - Kurling
Thurs 7th Nov *moved to avoid half term - Christmas chocolates with Canny Chocolates
Thurs 5th Dec - Christmas party
Meetings are *usually* the first Thursday of the month but note that some are moved to avoid school holidays.
Doors open at 7pm for tea, cake and a chat, official meeting/main event starts 7.30pm, close at 9pm.
You may want to bring your own mug/plate for refreshments and some money for optional raffle.

We’ve had a few people ask if you need to live in Holystone to join us - absolutely not, you are welcome wherever you are from, however you must be over the age of 18 and identify as female.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Additional activities such as dine outs, theatre trips, bucket list events etc will be added throughout the year.
